Is it so ironic that I chose this title for our first trip to pick strawberries? Classic! Not too long ago, we took Addison to pick some strawberries, an adventure that I will never forget, and of course I had to carry along my camera! Here are a few shots that I know made me giggle!
This face is priceless! She was eating strawberries with the green tops and ALL!
Ok, I know I know, it's a wheat field...but I couldn't resist!

Spring??? Are you here yet? Quit being a tease!
I am so over the cold weather! Spring needs to hurry up and get here...and STAY! We've had a couple really warm, sunny days, so Addie and I went and played outside! I couldn't help but use the opportunity to get some "Easter-y" shots!
I'm so excited for the warmer weather! My schedule is starting to fill up...I can't wait to get to work! If you are interested, don't hesitate to get in touch! E-mail me at whitney.m.lawson@gmail.com, or give me a call (252)-339-7125!
As you can see, Addison is growing up! She is going through a phase where she makes these hilarious faces...they just don't translate well in a photograph...but in person they are so adorable you want to kiss her cheeks!
Needless to say, Addie loves the outdoors; Ever since she was born! She would cry and cry, but the second you stepped out the door the tears ceased immediately.I'm so excited for the warmer weather! Sweet baby Banban--Babies
Banyan is the sweetest baby boy I know, with the biggest blue eyes! Finally a baby boy to photography! He's about 2 months younger than my daughter and he has such a sweet smiley personality...although I think I captured a more serious side!!

It's not goodbye forever...It's see ya later
Today, I told my husband goodbye. The Navy decided they needed him in South Korea...so they sent him there for six months. Driving away, seeing him in the rearview mirror, was probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Christopher isn't just leaving me, for six months...but he is leaving his new little family! I know that it's not going to be easy...but I know that we will get through it!!!
My mantra for these next six months is, "the JOY of the Lord is my strength." I may not always be happy, but I will be joyful. There is a big difference between joy and happiness; Happiness is temporary and emotional, but Joy is an attitude of the heart.
I'm not going to be able to do this on my own, but I can rely on my God, because His word says "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalms 46:1. So while I may seem sad, and/or cry at the drop of a hat...I have the joy of the Lord!

my heart belongs to you...
These two, absolutely have my heart! I'm madly in love with my husband, and thank God for designing such a man that seeks God first, and has such a love for Him. My husband is truly my best friend, my comforter, provider, and soul mate. The Lord didn't stop there, he blessed me beyond measure when he gave me may precious daughter! I have so much to be thankful for...
She's a daddy's girl...haha! I love to just watch the two of them play...my heart belongs to them!

Creative much???
Today I had a serious itch to do something creative!!! So I decided to wipe off the dust on my sewing machine, open up the sewing box...and make a handing clutch! I tried finding a pattern online...I didn't find one I liked...although, when I'm feeling more daring I may attempt a Amy Butler "Blossom Handbag." So I just made my own pattern, used a .25" seam allowance, and went to town!!! For my first piece I'm very proud! So I decided to photograph my creation as to further my creativeness!!!
